The fundraising playbook.
A short, practical guide to running a crypto round.
1. Get ready
Tight narrative, a clear use of funds, current traction numbers and a simple data room. If you cannot explain the business in two minutes, fix that first.
2. Build the target list
Choose funds by stage, sector and check size, not by brand. Use our VC database to filter. Aim for a ranked list of 40 to 60 names with a warm path to each.
3. Compress the process
Run meetings in a two to three week window so investors feel competition. Keep a weekly pipeline and follow up fast.
4. Compare terms
Look beyond valuation: token warrants, vesting, board rights, pro-rata and side letters. Bring counsel in early.
5. Close and report
Close cleanly, then send a short update every quarter. Investors who stay informed back you again.
